thank you for being a valued Platinum Medallion® Member. We know you have your choice of airlines, and you choose to fly with Delta because of the experience we offer. We are deeply grateful for your loyalty.
As SkyMiles Membership continues to grow, we are committed to preserving the exclusivity and experience you anticipate and deserve. We have heard your feedback about the complexity of the SkyMiles Program and for the first time since 2015, we are making changes to simplify the way you qualify for Medallion Status while also rewarding you with more ways to earn Status.
A Simpler Program Starting January 1, 2024, all you will need are Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) to achieve Status. No need to keep track of miles (MQMs) or segments (MQSs) flown.
More Ways to Earn Status Like you do today, you will earn MQDs on Delta flights. Plus starting January 1, 2024, we are introducing more ways to earn from purchases on an eligible Delta SkyMiles® American Express Card, car rentals and hotel stays booked on delta.com and with Delta Vacations®.
New Medallion Status Thresholds With many more ways to earn MQDs, this is what you will need to achieve in 2024 to earn 2025 Medallion Status:
Silver Medallion: $6,000 MQDs
Gold Medallion: $12,000 MQDs
Platinum Medallion: $18,000 MQDs
Diamond Medallion: $35,000 MQDs
Investing in Your Member Experience We will continue to invest in and elevate the experience for our most loyal customers. In 2024, Platinum and Diamond Medallion Members can expect new Choice Benefit options, and Million Milers will enjoy elevated complimentary upgrade priority, rewarding their long-term loyalty to Delta.
